Hey guys,
I have a 2011 SE with dual exhaust.
I wanted to loosen my exhaust tips so I could straighten them.
I unscrewed that blot to the side of the tip under the car, but the tip never seemed to come loose.
How do I do this?
Thanks,
Richard

Sometimes the tips get "stuck" against the tailpipe even when the clamps are loose. Get a soft rag/towel and wrap it around the tip, then strike the tip smartly with the heel of your hand or your favorite hammer (if need be). One good hit should pop it loose. Just make sure that clamp is plenty loose first.

The clamps and tips are tack welded. You can break it loose with a sharp tap.
Just had to deal with this to straighten one of my tips. Mine are also tack welded on the bottom but a little more significantly than others have mentioned in other threads. Somebody at Brampton didn't want them to come off...ever. In another thread it was recommended that I just do a quick slice with a rotary tool on the weld and that was all it took.
