I had this stereo installed in my 2012 RT and there is no comparison. Unbelievable sound and iPhone compatibly--oh and yes I added a back-up camera to the stereo. Incredible upgrade; I only wish I did it years ago.

I did, too, and also had jl audio 360/4 amp to power jl audio components and 6x9s in the back - and jl audio mono amp to power a sub; also had Dynamat sound insulation mounted in the doors, Viper SmartStart remote start and LED lights in wheels and headlights installed- sounds and looks amazing, or did I should say...I was getting some alternator whine, so took it back to installer and they put ground loop isolator in patch cables running from the amps; that helped, but it didn't get rid of it altogether, plus I thought it dulled the fidelity, too, though maybe that was all in my head...at any rate, I found better grounds for the amps and pulled the deck from the dash to check the HU ground and had found some information that suggested Pioneer pre-amp outputs often times need grounded themselves. There are A LOT of wires back there! It was intimidating, so I essentially just put everything back like I found it. Or so I thought - now I'm getting INSANE static and interference. That's just with accessory on, too; starting the engine made the whistling and sh*t unbearable. So I pulled it again to check everything a second time, then a third and fourth, etc. Haven't driven the car for weeks because I can't figure this out! I know my grounds are good - a foot long, bolted to the chassis, which I scraped down to the metal. Anybody know what I've done - or failed to do? It isn't EMI inside the dash b/c it's there when the stereo is powered and sitting outside the dash; checked output inductor behind the glove box and nothing changed when I pulled it outside, away from the other possible EMI sources. RCAs are no where close to the power lines, either. I'm sure I'll end up taking it back to installer, but they're two hours away, which makes it less than convenient. Anybody have a suggestion?
