I have a 2015 R/T plus which came with the alpine 6 speaker sound system and 276 amp. I would like to to an upgrade on the cheap.
Can I switch the amp to the 502 watt from the system one as a direct replacement. I plan on installing new speakers also.
Thanks in advance.

The extra wattage of the bigger factory amp isn’t spread evenly among the cabin speaker channels. It has subwoofer channel(s) it is powering, so even if it is a straight swap out (which I don’t believe it is, but I’m not 100% sure on that), it wouldn’t be giving you much more, if any, extra wattage to the dash/door/rear deck speakers.

I think the best bang for your buck (and effort to install) will be to go aftermarket with the amp and get a PAC adapter to make using it with your factory wiring a fairly painless installation experience.
