I just recently purchased a brand new 2020 Challenger SXT and i noticed a ticking noise coming from the motor when i was idle. At the time my car only had about 200 miles on it and it was about a week old. The dealership service dept said there was damaged LT something which caused damage to the rocker (arm) causing the ticking sound. Has anyone experienced this?

It happens.

Did the dealership fix the problem under the powertrain warranty’s coverage?

Ive seen the rocker arms fail on the 3.6. Usually the pass side for some odd reason. The bearings that hold the wheel in the rocker arm fail then it ticks and eventually will make grooves in the cam. Usually i see them with 60k tho and not 200 miles. If its caught early and doesnt damage the cam i replace the rocker and lifter along with the valve cover gasket.
