Another year, and another trip to the Rockies with my son in the Scat Pack.

Two lanes, Interstates, and mostly cross winds this time out, with speeds from 65 to 80 mph. Sport Mode on all the time, used Shell V Power 91 the entire trip. Drove it like I usually do, with plenty of passing and WOT's when I could.

1933 (s)miles and got 25.4 mpg for the entire trip. This car still amazes me, and it turned over 18k during the trip. Still loving it :)

Had a great time together, saw some beautiful country, and we just sucked it all in, every minute. Here's a few pics from Rocky Mountain National Park :)

Thanks, and you're a lucky dog being that close to an area like that.

As you already know, mountain driving with the Challenger is just "it". :)

Indeed! RMNP is like an hour away. Always a joy of driving thru Route 34 in the canyon getting to Estes Park/RMNP.

Did you drive up on Old Fall River Road? It's my favorite road at RMNP.

I honestly don't know. I'll have to check it out next time up.

Edit: checked the Park map, and it's on my bucket list now. That looks amazing too.

Thanks for the tip.

Brings back memories of my childhood, and my father taking me to Colorado a few times. Your son will never forget these times together. Awesome car and pics.
