Well trying a filter change. The stock shaker filter is one restrictive piece, I think . We will know when it drys up. Raining the last two days. I have noticed that it stays at a higher idle for a few seconds before settling down. May take a while for ecu to adjust but it seems a little leaner. We will see

Well I tell ya. I think the stock filter flows better than this K&N at least with stock tune it doesn't seem to like the K&N. If it was tuned it may make a difference. I will put stock back in and see if it picks back up.

Ok did another test of stock vs kn. There is no question the stock filter flows better than the largest kn you can get into the box. Power was down by a, good 50 hp easy. Rpms hang coming down to idle more and at a higher rpm. The idle hang is caused by several things, timing is one thing that keeps it from coming down to idle like it should and too lean as well. Stock filter it is.
