I'm not familiar with the i3 specifically, but if it's like the other DS tuners I've had, the ability to alter shift points is not very granular. "Increase firmness" is about as specific as it gets usually.

If you really want to alter the RPM at which the gears shift, check the TranZformer. It will allow altering the RPM shift point of each gear shift up AND down.

There is lots of other functionality with it as well, like Line Lock, Launch Mode, etc. They are really nifty little devices i must say.
