"Supercharged" will only ever be seen on the pre-production models (slated for crushing after the promotions are over). The Hellcat logo will adorn every HC Challenger leaving the plant starting with VIN001 auction off at Barrett Jackson

Not ALL the cars are going to be crushed! I asked the Dodge Challenger Brand Manager what they were going to do with the 50 Challengers they brought to Portland International Raceway in July, and he said they were all cars WITH valid VIN's, so they would be sold at auction. There were about 10 Hellcats, those too would be auctioned off at various auto auctions around the country.

Interesting, different reports have suggested not all the Challengers had valid VINs. I guess time will tell

RS touched on this subject about test cars being sold in another thread. I will see if I can find it.

He said they build 2 verions of pre-production cars. One version has to be destored (or stored some where by Chrysler I would think). The other version will be sold after Chrysler is done using them.
