Since they won't make it I will. Will be finished before the long weekend is over. US patent pending!

Oh and for the silly questions about rain. Just like on a factory six pak hooded car, you cover the scoop and draw some of that nice warm air from under the hood.

Step 2 is to seal the air cleaner to the hood.

All openings exceed the 85MM throttle body so there shouldn't be any throttle body flow questions. My goal is to exceed the Henesey numbers for way less than the $3K they are asking for their kit and have a classic look. Next up will be an exhaust upgrade without spending stupid money.

Money spent so far $630 for the hood and $150 for the six pak lid and filter. Oh and $10 for styrofoam to model from.

I will post finished pictures and even try to get a pre and post dyno run.

Nice job man, way to go, everything for these modern muscle cars shouldn't have to cost an arm and a leg. I put six pack scoops on a couple of my old 340 darts in the past by making them myself, no reason we shouldn't be able to apply the same techniques to these modern muscle cars.

My admiration and complements to your ingenuity sir.

How does the air get from the scoop to the throttle body
All the styrofoam will be hollowed out and act as a plenum. The throttle body will have a elbow that turns directly upward into the plenum. That was the hardest part to engineer since I had to maintain at minimum the area of the diameter of the throttle body all the way to the bottomside of the air filter. All of the airbox will go by the wayside, which will allow me a place to put my one gallon fuel cell for my nitrous system.

That sure is different, I'll give you that. I've got a six pack hood as well. I'll be interested in seeing the finished product.

All you had to do was ask!
Knuckle Kustoms had that done a couple of months ago. Have a look at Knuckle Kustoms
It's already patented too.

Ours is a fully tig welded aluminum intake sealed to the hood in the tradition of old school muscle.
It will be on display at carlisle on Saturday if anyone is interested.

very impressive! Super concept, and it looks like you are going to make it a reality. I am excited to see your finished product!

I don't see any pictures under the hood! I'm staying away from all metals as much as possible to avoid creating a heater under the hood which in turn takes the IAT up.

You mean like this?

The aluminum works as a huge heat sink, cooling the air as it runs into the throttle. Our design works, evidenced by 1000 miles driving and track tests. Our air movement design causes the air to increase in velocity while moving to the throttle.
Our intake fits both the 5.7 and 6.1, and soon the 392.

Good luck with yours though!

That looks killer!! Any more pics of the air routing to the tb?? It looks like you use a stock 6 pack aircleaner- freaking awesome!!

Love to see more pictures. Have you done and data logging to see what the IAT temps are??

Not yet. The only data collection we've done has been at the track, at stoplight and on the highway. Dragstrip numbers are deceptive because of launch problems, but 110 mph in a 1/4 mile isn't horrible!

That looks great from the top side. I would like to see a picture of how you are routing the air on the bottom side. Do you have the option of buying without sealing to the hood? I'm building mine so I can have it both ways. Without allows you to see more of the motor and with will give you better perfomance. I probably would have skipped creating and patenting (pending) mine if I had found yours.

Getting ready to build catless mid pipes. Do you have those at a reasonable price. Online they want $450 which is way over priced.

Haven't taken any pics of the underside because its never off the car lol Having too much fun driving it lol!

As for sealing to the hood, that's not optional, as we wanted a functional RAM air intake. We can easily alter the design to accommodate not sealing, but there would be little 'power' reason to do so.

No plans on pipes.

The reason for not sealing to the hood is for when I go to car shows. Modular would be the best of both worlds which I belive your design leads it to. It is very clean looking. I wish I would have found your product before I started my project. I feel obligated to finish mine now.
