After checking the hood on the car for fit I took it off and brought it to the shop. It needed some wetsanding and a few small areas of a little spot putty around some edges and corners. I also cut out the scoop holes at this time. I sealed it with epoxy primer and a couple hours later shot it with Hot Rod black. It was a kit made by SEM and it came with activator and reducer. A half hour after the second coat the paint still had quite a bit of shine. I'm anxious to see how it will dull out overnight. Guess I'll find out in the a.m. Tomorrow it goes back on the car. Hood pins still on the way.
