Agreed, love the sound of my Solo and that I can make the sound suit my tastes. If I want a nice rumble then I'll keep the RPMs below 3000-3500, if I want to make a little noise then I'll just wind it out a bit. Doesn't even take WOT to do that, I can accelerate at the same rate as short shifting and just get a completely different sound.
IMO, it's as close as I can get to an "active exhaust" without actually having one.
As a daily driver, the stock exhaust had grown louder to the point where drone was becoming a nuisance between the 1400 - 1800 RPM range.
I swapped the mid mufflers for 3" Flowmaster Delta 40's with the hope of lessening the drone. These are #924943, and they are Flowmaster's quietest option in...
So I put together an audio vid of the different exhaust configurations I have tried on my 5.7:
1) Stock manifolds with corsa extreme 2.5"
2) Stock manifolds with corsa extreme 2.5" mid mufflers removed
3) SW 2" primary with corsa extreme 2.5"
4) SW 2" primary with corsa extreme 2.5" mid...
Recently purchased a challenger r/t scat pack 2020. Would like to do something with the exhaust (sounds too quiet). Had a buddy recommend Borla. What are your thoughts? Any recommendations? I'm relatively new to the Challenger world.
I would like to two buy Flowmaster super 44 3”, the car came with two 1 chamber mufflers which look like two super 10 but their not flowmasters. I have an 13 Challenger r/t. It sounds Ok, I want to get into more sound and drone doesn’t bother me.
Does anyone have FM 3” on Challengers?
