Picked one of these up for track excursions and fooling around.

I'm pretty impressed with the quality of the video and the ease of use.

I literally threw this together in about an hour.

Yeah I gotta say I'm impressed. I was afraid with the wide angle of the lens it'd have too much pincushion (fish eye) effect and that the colors wouldn't be rich, but it actually does a great job.

The thing will shoot 720P video (1280x720 resolution) at 60 FRAMES PER SECOND! Think very cool slow motion effect there.

It'll also shoot 1080P as well at 30FPS.

I'm gonna play with the slow motion stuff next to see how it looks.

It'd be really cool to use on a challenger cruise night or something similar

Yeah it does decent on the wind noise. They claim to have done a lot of work on that, but there is still quite a bit.

It comes with two housings, one is totally closed and one had an open back. They say to use the open back one when doing less than 100MPH and the closed back over 100MPH and you'll get better wind noise reduction.

The video above was with the open back.

I have one also. Used it on my snowmoblie, works real good in cold weather also. And of course just when I turned it off, a wolf jumped about 5 feet in front of me on the trail. Just my luck.

I'm wanting to get one of these. Just curious, how confident do you feel putting the camera on the outside of the car? Is the suction cup really that good? Have you ever had it fall off?
I put it on HemiSam's car at the TX mile for a 175MPH run and it stayed on fine. 200+ MPH Porches had them as well.

Just make sure the area under the suction cup is clean and a bit of moisture on the suction cup helps.

What editing software did you use to put your video together?

That's pretty cool but next time post one without that noise in the background. I'd rather listen to the blower whine and the hemi exhaust than some gal yakking away in the background.

:)
