While At Work I Was Approached By A Police Officer Asking Me If I Owned A Green Challenger? At First I Was Thinking " Oh Great Someone Backed Into It". The Cop Then Told Me Its Worse Than That! We Walked Outside And The Pictures Are What I Saw! My Heart Broke! I Bought My Baby Brand New Right Off The Lot Just About 6 Months Ago!

I Took It Straight To The Dealer. Its Brand New. I Wasnt Going To Take It To Just Any Shop....
Dealer bodyshops aren't something special. They are just small bodyshops attached to a dealer. Most don't even follow the procedures of their own product lines.

😫😫😫
SPEECHLESS!!! What did they do, walk on the roof and trunk too!?
More Like STOMP On The Roof And Trunk 😫
Not to be funny but who did you really piss off? An ex or someone's wife\husband, wife, girlfriend, someone's father\grandfather?

That's horrible. Does anyone have cameras around there where you could pull footage?

If that happened to mine, I would love to find the person or persons.
Yeah...not saying it wasn’t the lesser percent chance it was random, but normally it’s someone you know that was the D bag responsible for ordering it...is it possible the “rubber room guy” was paid by the D bag for drug money?

It fills me with rage that someone did that to your Challenger. Those pics are horrifying, just utterly horrific.

on a completely unrelated note, I have some random, unrelated questions for you below. Please answer at your leisure.

———————————-

Is the alleged perpetrator still in custody at a local jail/detention center?

What is the name of the city/town closest to you that has a jail for locking up drunks and miscreants while they await trial or a bond hearing?

Would you have any pangs of guilt that you couldn’t deal with if you heard on the news one night your car’s assailant was found beaten and bloodied in his cell one morning soon?

Do you know of any local rock quarries or similarly deserted spots that would be ideal for dumping evidence, errr items that you didn’t want to be found in the future and used against you in a court of law?

I have nothing to add to the comments made so far except that I’m very sorry this happened to you, and your car.
Same goes for me.

Some are excellent, and they know the cars more than most general shops that work on a hundred different vehicles.
I know when my Caprice was rear ended, I took it to the local Chevy dealer, and they specialized on renewing Caprices for the State Police, so they were very knowledgeable on those inside and out.

There’s an old saying “say it and forget it, write it and regret it”
The key is being very discreet, never put certain things in print.
Awaiting pictures of this car looking like new again.
Yeah, I like what 'Nuke' said. Payback is a, well you know. I am sorry for you and your new car. Its sad you can't have anything these days.
I don't know how I would have re-acted if I seen someone dancing like a 'Kansas city (beep) ' on one of my cars. 'Blazing Saddles' reference.

I guess I would have called my brother first, and my friend 'Tom' and told them where I was at and what was going on. Then call my wife. Yeah , it just depends.
I really hate that for you 'loveLimeKandy'. I sometimes don't take the Challenger out because of this carp happening around.
Hope it turns out well, and they get it all fixed up for you.
let us know what happens to the punk.
Best wishes

What!!!! 😱 That is horrible! I hope everything works out good for you.

+1 to double check on this. Some dealerships (even big ones) don't have body shops, they farm out to the local shop down the street. However, in this case your repair would seem to be a mix - body shop for the body panels, and dealer for the interior work.

I too am curious your location. There is a bit of unrest going on right now, and for the rest of us it may be useful to know what area to avoid.

I think the proper reference is "Triple S".

Shoot. Shovel. Shut up.
I think that the broken glass can be vacuumed up, if done thoroughly. Windshield glass is laminated. The lamination helps the glass stay together, in case of breakage, as opposed to tempered glass which shatters upon impact and produces countless sharp splinters.

I had my backlight glass shattered and I was able to vacuum up all the glass pieces before Safelite installed the replacement.

ILoveLimeKandy,

I fear the the horrible experience you went through. I've been nervous as hell since I brought my SP to my home that doesn't have a garage and is at street level. Nobody expects to be vandalized, but dumb asses are a dime a dozen.

I've done due diligence in being proactive. I've installed a Ring Floodlight Security System right next to my car. I can see everybody getting in my motion zone. They've all been unsuspecting with not intent on harm.

Lastly, I bought a Springfield Armory Hellcat 9mm to provide my last layer of defense. A couple decals on my house windows give warning........

Ouch... I got a sinking feeling in my stomach when I saw the damage.
It's like seeing someone else getting kicked in the [email protected]!!$.
It didn't happen to you, but somehow, you react like it did.
I just watched a video the other day of a guy who got caught in the act keying an e Class Mercedes. The owner had a pole of some kind in his hand, and beat the crap out of the guy with it, and delivered numerous kicks to the head. He was KO'd....bystanders had to pull him off the young guy, and I bet the car owner is still in jail. It was disturbing to say the least.
