Anyone willing or able to post their spring and suspension package options from a '15 Scat Pack and/or SRT? Trying to compare what my R/T STP came with.

This is what I got from my Build Sheet:

SBPP Performance Steering
SDEP Sport Suspension
SHFS Rear Stabilizer Bar
ZAVP Spring - Left Rear
ZGFP Spring - Left Front
ZNVP Spring - Right Rear
ZVFP Spring - Right Front

P/N breakdowns from my list are:

Rear bar 68184226AA
Rear Springs 5181369AC
Front Bar 4782544AC
Front Springs 5181609AB

Just curious how those part numbers compare to what a SP/SRT would have come with, but the info I have makes it hard to figure it out without the option codes from the Build Sheet as the catalog lists like 10 possible springs that all fit everything from an SXT to a HC but are specific to an option code. Front sway bars are easy as there are only 2 (Touring and Performance), while the rear is a little harder to figure out.

Thanks!

Just to be clear, this info comes from a Build Sheet, not an Equipment List. I've seen several Equipment Lists posted and called a "Build Sheet" but they aren't the same. The Equipment List only shows the option, but no codes. The Dodge app will give an Equipment List, but I had to contact Dodge and ask for the Build Sheet.

Here's mine:

We've got the same front springs but rears are different.

ZJXP - left rear
ZXXP - right rear

I'll check on the rest.

Don't know the difference in the rear springs. I did check the springs on an M6 SRT and they show the same as my A8.

My rear sway bar is the same as yours, front and rear suspension and damper parts modules the same and so is the brake and knuckle which I thought was odd because of the Brembos.

My steering shows as SBLS electric power steering.

Suspension is SDXS high performance suspension.

How did you check the springs on a M6?

My next guess would be that the extra 110 HP causes Mopar to use a different rear spring in the 6.4 cars. If so, then the SP would have different rear springs than I do as well.

Careful there, that is almost heresy. Sounds like you are almost saying that I could bolt on Brembo's without swapping knuckles. :surprise:

Based on my limited ability to look at the parts catalog, looks like there are only 2 knuckles used for MY'15 and later. One without performance brakes and one with. Based on this and your findings that my R/T and your SRT use the same knuckle, maybe BR6 brake cars wouldn't need a knuckle swap to add Brembo's. But it is confusing because I never was able to find brake part numbers where I was looking that included Brembo's, only 1 and 2 piston calipers. So it might be murky enough that I am wrong.

Read a thread on a guy swapping the 6 piston SRT Brembo's onto his SP and he mentioned getting a part printout based on VIN to compare what his car came with versus an HC. Wish there was a way to do that in this case, too.

My steering shows as SBLS electric power steering.
Maybe because you have more modes?

BTW, because my car came without the 8.4 Uconnect, I don't have the Performance Pages and can't change my steering other than what the Sport Mode button might do. So it could be that in the case of my car, maybe my steering was downgraded due to the lack of the big screen?

Suspension is SDXS high performance suspension.
Gotta believe your selectable ride settings changes the code, but just a guess.

Yes, Scat Pack has different springs, as posted above.

That Kuckle code must mean something else as the SXT also has the same code.

You must have privileges I don't have. I would have done the same, but all I can get is the equipment list via the Dodge website without going through the customer service and I'm pretty sure they would ignore my request if I didn't own the car. :)

Can you do a part list by VIN as well?

Maybe the SXT has STP?

I only found 2 part numbers for knuckles, one with performance suspension and one without. Makes sense that "performance suspension" included Brembo's, but the description says "Challenger. Charger. 300. Left. With police vehicle. With perf. Suspension. With performance brakes. Without awd, with brembo brakes."

Knuckle

I know there is a difference somewhere in the suspension since the Mopar "big brake kit" (Charger Pursuit BR9 brakes) requires that the car come with the BR6 brakes, leading me to believe that a non STP Challenger has a different knuckle from one with STP.

I got my build sheet from Dodge for my car and also have a sub to compnine where I can get other sheets although sometimes there are errors with them.

No but would love to have part number access!

That SXT I looked at did not have STP, the knuckles are definitely different for Brembo, all 4 of them! The online parts checkers make it tough, don't think the police 14.5 inch rotor cars use the Brembo knuckles but don't know any other differences, need part numbers I guess rather than just codes.

Where are you guys getting your build sheets? Finding them in the car, like the old days?
Not a single sheet like the old days, there were 4 or 5 sheets used in the building of you car and often they are left in the car. Problem is the dealer usually throws these away during their PDI except for the one in the trunk or in the spare tire well because I guess they never look in there like they're supposed to. Anyway, highly doubt you'll find a sheet or two hidden anywhere so if you don't have them now they are probably gone.

You can get a simple equipment list online by using this link, just swap the VIN in the link with yours and use all capital letters.

http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=2C3CDZC94HH572376

For the full build sheet with codes send an email to Dodge with your information and last 8 of the VIN. In the comment section just ask for the build sheet, they will email it back to you in a couple days.

At this point it's all just idle speculation, anyway. I've only made one payment on the car, so the budget won't support something like a Brembo retrofit (and the associated mega$$$ for WRT's), and who knows what the future holds.

One last comment; it does seem that something changed for MY2015 because when I went looking to see what BBK's were available for my car I found ZERO. Could be that I missed them, but everything I found was for MY2014 and down. Some did say 2008+ but when I dug into it, they didn't fit. Baer's website even says "Vehicles with 2012-2017 Spindles" as you step through the options, but when you get to the brake kit is says 2012-2014. Even the kits for SRT's stopped at MY2014.

Not saying it answers the question, nor that it points to anything, only adding it as curious fact.

Either way, I've had the original question answered. I was curious if the STP package had the same suspension as the SP and/or SRT. Read some comments that they were, and other's that said their SP rode rougher than the R/T w/STP they traded in did. Figured I would look at the hard parts rather than just opinions.

Looks like the answer is "No". Maybe the same front springs and rear sway bars, but even that is a maybe as GregF911 didn't show the same codes for the front springs. Either way, they are a different suspension package.

'Nuff said. :grin2:
