Uh...that's a big deal? Not being a smart ass but come on. Turn it up!
Radio? What radio??? Best music comes from under the hood....LOL!
I noticed my car doesn't like to steer itself, but then again it's not a challenger. I'm sure all that will change when my 392IE arrives next week!

Geez Huggy! Does that feature exist anywhere on any car? Maybe I've just never heard of it. I am a bit of a working class stiff after all...
Ha! after all your headaches can you imagine when that feature performed wrong. You'd start the car and it would play at full blast. No thanks. I'll wait till every other complaint is sorted out first.

I have that feature on my 2005 Mustang but don't have it on my 2009 Rubicon. Still waiting for my GWE to start production. Guess manufacturers have differing opinions on features consumers prefer. :scratchhead:
chevy's have it, scv speed compensated volume.i have it in my HHR in mexico.i hate it, when it's on and you get to highway speeds it cranks right up and you can't hear yourself think.
I stand corrected, sorry for the jokes. Sounds like it performs about as well as I would have guessed though. Nothing more subjective than music and volume, except maybe good taste...
GM cars have it, you can adjust the amount it comes up as the speed increases. You might want to look into that for your HHR. I used to have it and liked it.
My 95 corvette has this option, I cant complain about it, it works well. It doesn't get too loud and it goes right back down as I slow down.
Its the first thing i shut off in rental cars.
I just don't get it. I had this feature in several cars and I disabled it. I think I can handle that one on my own. New cars are already doing way to much for us, must they also adjust the volume of our radios?
I'm done now. :slap:
Rough Crowd here Huggy!!! ha.
As has been said, my GM vehicle has it and it is kind of handy....and you can just turn it off if you prefer. Wondered this myself on my '09.
Ah, not a rough crowd. It just amazes me though at all the stuff they are putting on cars these days.
Seriously, we won't need to think to drive before long.
Why are you turning knobs? Right index finger up :)
Right foot down :)
i thought it was a standard item since 2000.....i guess no one told Dodge yet

ive had 3 cars with it (2 Chevy's and 1 Toyota)...

its just one of those things i expect......im shocked it doesnt have it...i was driving on the freeway the other day and noticed i had to adjust the radio....i just expected it would handle itself...

guess not

i am very surprised though..it should be there for $1,000 extra on the radio package

Hey Dodge its 2011!

I can understand, I would have assumed the SRT has it also. Every car I've owned for the last 12 or more years has had speed sensitive radio volume. No different than automatic headlights - I can't remember the last time I've actually had to manually turn on my headlights. Not that I can't do it (I use to hand roll up my windows), but you get use to these things.

One thing I have always hated was speed sensitive wipers. Get the intermittent delay exactly the way you want it, then speed up or slow down and delay changes. Frustrating. Does the Challenger have that also or not? Haven't read that far in the user manual yet.
Hmmmmmmm, my MyGig 430 does it. At a stop the volume goes down by about 1 or 2 as I get to over 10 or so mph the volume goes back up. It is an older version though. The new ones might not do it. Also there is nothing on the radio to turn it on or off.
