Will 255/45/r20 tires fit on 20x9.0 or do I have to to go bigger to 275/40/20 - I just ordered the 255/45 tires with 20x9.0.

255-45 will fit but why go narrower?
255 is ideal for 8-8.5” wheels, 275 is ideal for 9-9.5.
275s can’t even handle the 392 power.
Handling will also slightly suffer.

I went by the tire label on the vehicle. It says 245/45/r20 front and 255/45/r20 for rear. So thats what i ordered. With 20x9.0 wheels.
What do you think? Exchange the order or roll with. A tire manufacture me i need 275 but my car said otherwise so i was curious.

What year is your car? You’ll could always go 245/45 front, 275/40 rear to match the height. When the title was SRT8 392 I assumed it was a 15+ but you probably have a 11-14 model. Most people just go 275 all around.

For pre-15 SRT8, I'd just stay with the stock size, 245 and 255.

The car and wheels are just different than the newer ones 275s really don't fit right or look right. And SRT said in the past to stay with 245s in the front of a stock SRT8.

275s in the rear would not be an issue + wider tires never look bad. 275-40 is the same height as 245-45. I ran 255/45 in the front of my Charger RT without issues.
Best option 275/40-20 all around
2nd: 245/45 front, 275/40 rear
3rd: 255/45 all around
4th: 245/45 front, 255/40 rear
