No hope. The SE will get it but not slated for the R/T or SRT.

Does the Challenger 392 need an 8 speed transmission? You get max torque at about 4300 rpm, the 5 speed seems to work just fine in my opinion. From my basic knowledge you need more gears for cars that need to rev high in order to stay at max torque.

I'm no expert but this is what I know about transmissions, could be wrong!

That "MB" tranny is a "tank". Reliable as heck.

I don't even think about 8 speeds. A 392 and "MB" 5 speed should run hard, and run long.
