Running a 93 CAI canned tuned on 93 gas. Did some data logging, and I don't understand why this happens.

Under a WOT run, 1-2 has zero ST and LT knock, 2-3 same thing, but when running 3-4 at about 4300 -4600 RPM at 80 MPH I have 3 degrees ST knock then ramps down to zero within at 2 seconds, stays at zero ST knock up until I hit about 95 MPH, but before I actually got to 4-5 during WOT, ran out of safe road.

Is this normal? And why wouldn't it show up between 1-2 and 2-3 in the same RPM range? Only displays ST knock in 3-4, not sure about 4-5.

Do I just add some fuel in that range, maybe 5%? Or do I install the 91 CAI tune running 93 gas and check that one for ST knock?

Car has CAI, cat back and catch can.

Thanks

That's pretty normal, try a little fuel in those rpm ranges. Also you mentioned you have a cat-back. I've seen a couple ill fitting ones like corsa banging on the body / frame parts causing KR ... Of course this goes without saying make sure you actually have 93 octane gas.

OK, thanks I'll give it a try. It's exxon/mobile gas at 93. Seems ok from what I can tell so far. It's a zoomers catback, nothing hitting underneath. Clean install.

I'll report back with results in a few days. Thanks again.
