....the stalling issue folks have been reporting (and I think what the OP is referring to) is with the autos. If they have fixed it, it is news to me. If you have a link, please post it. ....I have the problem.I thought I read that they fixed that. I have a 2010 R/T 6 Speed I got a few weeks ago and have never experienced the problem.
SRT engineers said it was something with the software and that an update was coming along (this was about 4 months ago). More than likely an issue with part throttle tune. There was also mention of this happening to people as they were conducting a slow turn. SRT engineers have stated that the power steering pumps have shown to fail on the 6.1L engines. It's probably why you see the new engines getting the HD power steering pump....no idea. Here are just a couple of threads on the subject though:
There was a member at one point that had Chrysler engineers looking at his car to try and identify the root cause but he left the forum due to heckling from some members IIRC. It's a shame because there are quite a few of us who are desperate for answers.
NO...Carfax shows damage to a car. Call a Dodge dealer and have him run the VIN#. The dealer can tell you.I'm about close a deal on a 2010 RT Classic (automatic trans) with 13k miles. The Carfax report looks good. It has only one private owner and nothing but oil changes and tire rotations in the service history.
If the car had been serviced for the stalling issue it would show up on the Carfax, right?
