Now that winter has set in, I only get the car out when there's no snow on the roads and the roads are dry here in NH. I leave the car in 1st gear and the e-brake is off. I periodically use the e-brake if I stop with the engine running, and have to hop out, so the cable and mechanism is getting exercised.

That said, after a week or two of sitting, when I first pull the car out of the garage, it is obvious that something is physically stuck, and must be overcome before the car will roll. I suspect the brake pads are sticking to the rotors.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution to it? Figure it can't be good, long term.

I would think the pivots are sticking on the PARKING brake shoes and they are not returning.
