That is great. On a hot humid evening at Pageland drag strip in SC I could only get a 9.20 best time with a fair amount of wheel spin. Hate slippin the clutch to get a good time, something I will have to learn,,,

R/T Classic, Stick is way harder to launch than Auto's are.. I have an Auto that's probably why I have a good launch, keep at it I'm sure you'll get there:thumbsup:

Wow those are some great 60' times for stock tires. I'm still running the stock 18" Michelin tires and I haven't figured out how to get good 60' times yet. My times tend to fall in the 2.188 and up category.

Ron, These runs were on stock 245/45/20 EAGLE RS-A tires. I had 24 PSI on the rear and 32 up front
Anything else you can tell us about your launch technique? Did you leave hard or just lightly lean into it? I'd like to drop a few tenths off my 60' and get down under 2.0. I've been feathering it off the line because of traction issues but haven't tried dropping the tire pressure yet.

I just ran mine again a few weeks ago and the heat certainly killed it some. The DA was over 3500ft. I still managed a couple high 1.9 60's and a few 2.0's with 2.05 being the worst.

that is stock RSA'a with 32lbs of air in them. I just quickly roll into the throttle. I don't stab it, but I don't take my time either if that makes sense. If you roll into it too slow, you are going to be 2.15 of better probably in the 60' and that will kill your ET's.

I used this same method last year when I ran some 12.90's (8.35 1/8th time) in 500DA weather. I hope to get back there to that track in comparable weather with a new converter and DR's. SHould be able to click off some 8.teen 1/ths and some 12.70 1/4's I hope.

I hope I can figure out how to get some of those sub 2.0 60' times soon. Are you guys leaving the traction control on, turning it off or doing the partial on ? I've tried it both ways but didn't make enough runs to draw any conclusions.

My car runs best just pushing the button and that is like half off or reduced from what I understand. I tried the key trick (full off) and it ran no better or pulled any harder.

I'll have to try a few more runs with the traction control half off and see if that helps, thanks for the advice.

Very good runs and the DA that night was at 5pm 962 ft and at 9pm it was 162 ft. I was there the week b4 and the DA was +12 ft to -235 ft and i left b4 9pm. I ran by P/B THATS IN MY SIG THAT NIGHT.

That's some pretty amazing 60' times for stock 18" tires, they must have had some really good track prep. I have yet to hit a 2.0 much less a sub 2.0 sec 60' time. I would like to launch at 2K but if I even look at the gas pedal hard all I do is spin, I have to ease into the gas in order to get a decent launch.

I was hoping to have drag radials to try by now but since it rains every weekend here in PA this year I just haven't got around to buying any. I'd like to try launching harder as I know I've got a few more tenths to squeeze out of my RT before I move on to the next mod.

Anyway great times congrats.
