Ok, there have been several superchargers produced since the 3.6L first came out in 2011. Some manufacturers have stopped making them and some still do. Let's hear an update on experiences with 3.6 superchargers - the good, the bad, and the ugly...

Hello RockanRoll
I have the RIPP Supercharger and I got it installed August 29th, 2019. Since then, I've added 1,000 miles on it. I bought the car used in April 2019 with 12k miles on it.

The Good:
  • power numbers: 430whp, 341 torque
  • the sound; has a jet sound with a blow off sound once you let off the gas
  • a really fun V6 to drive
The Bad:
  • RIPP's tune was too rich and wasn't producing as much power as was advertised; probably due to it being a standard "conservative" tune for it's tested cars
  • ended up getting it custom tuned by the shop that installed it which ran up the bill
The Ugly:
  • my mpg has dropped to 11; this may be because of my heavy foot and my urge to hear the supercharger
  • I need new rear tires already. I currently have stock 245s
  • the kit is not CARB legal (yet ?) so I have to be extra careful
