So I'm finally going to buy a T/A hood to swap with my stock 17 t/a hood.

Not looking at carbon fiber or oem.
So far I've found Amerihood, Speedform and Duraflex that are functional and would swoop air onto the cai box.
Also this cool one.. 2008-2023 BMC Dodge Challenger G5 T/A Hood

Perhaps some kind of compatibility with the air intake system..

Anyone have some useful tips, or positive experience with a decent upgrade?
Someone recommended Amerihood before, but to prepare fitment and paint etc.
Thanks yall!

I don’t really see it as an upgrade more of a downgrade to be honest. The hood you have is perfectly fine for your car and weighs less than a fiberglass. Any fiberglass hood will have fitment and quality issues need to be addressed prior to painting.

If you were going with carbon fiber then that’s a different story.

The original 1970 T/A hood had iffy fitment quality, so consider any waviness or alignment issues part of the retro vibe and move on. In my opinion, all these hoods are just for eye candy, not for function. The Amerihood does look like the best option out there aside from the MOPAR10 hood though.

I bought a factory T/A hood back in 2018. Cost $1150 at dealer for auto body shop price. Not functional, just for looks.

Cervinis makes functional T/A hoods, and they are good quality (for fiberglass). I would stick with OEM hoods though (any hood will work from 2008+ and theres like 6), lighter, stronger and way less prep for paint (and you can just wrap it as well).

If you're interested in something different, I got this carbon fiber viper-style hood from CARiD:
