Hi all,

I see everyone lowering their suspensions, but I live in a area that road conditions aren't ideal for low profile tires and as the post states, how much taller of a tire would work and has anyone done this?

I have 6 pistons so believe 20" rims is about it rim size but thinking a 275/295 45 series?

Also standard width Scat Pack.

Not doing anything quickly but getting ideas for the next set of tires.

Regards,
Jim

Well for reference, I had 245/50/20s that slightly rubbed up front. You wanna stay under that. 245/50 is 29.6" tall, 275/45 is 29.7" tall. If you wanna run the absolute tallest possible setup up front without rubbing, 265/45/20. Comes in at 29.5" tall (.1" shorter than my old setup that just barely rubbed, so should clear) As far as the rears i can't help you with that but I know there's a little more room back there

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, as I see lowering springs which seem to average a inch, so I would think it might work, 275/45 would be 29.74, which are a little over a inch taller than my stock 275/40 would be 28.66.

I might have to try that when the time comes.

Thanks again,
Jim

It doesn't rub on the body tho, it rubs on the nut for the ball joint.

The AWD Challengers use 235/55R19's and they are about 29-29.2 inches tall.

I'm currently running 285/45-20s on the back. I have heard that 295/45-20s fit.

Speedometer has been corrected with a Tazer.

I wonder with the 2021 AWD getting 20" what size they will be. I assume 245/45, but who knows.
