My wife took this shot of some Challengers being driven from the detail factory ( Ground Effects ) where they get all the stripes put on. They were being driven to the holding yard where the haulers drop them off and pick them up.

That is a very cool pic, I found one of some Shakers heading over to GE in a caravan. It does look like they are going to GE though since the black vinyl and hood treatment has yet to be done.

I like the way they look right there without the extra black out, that stripped down look.

I want that job - driving Challengers from point to point! Oh wait, Vanishing point ended badly for the driver

You'd think they'd have an 'in-house' dept that installs graphics/vinyl? Seems like a lot of risk and more expense to have it done on the outside? Obviously this works best or they wouldn't do it this way!

The drivers in those cars are just as excited to be in them as a smart car. It's just a car to them.

It's probaby cheaper in the long run for FCA just to sub it out. Brampton does install most stripes as you can see the T/A side stripes and 392 decals are already on, but the rest of the blackout is left to GE.

I'm thinking, and hoping, you mean Cavalry, soldiers on horseback, rather than Calvary, the hill outside Jerusalem when criminals were crucified. :)

Hmm... that middle one looks to be a 5.7L, just like the one I ordered. I'd hope that wasn't mine, as it has it's been in JB status for over a month now. So while getting a sneak peek would be cool, seeing it still with none of the add-ons done in JB would be just a little bit... how should I put this?... depressing. :boohoo:

The (relatively) low quantity of these models compared to all the others (factor in all the RWD models 300, Charger, Challenger) and there's way more Chargers of all the lines being built.

The additional time to install unique items (or those large sheets of vinyl wrap for T/A models) - it would slow down the line and use up more labor.

Chrysler in years past, sub-contracted out Charger Daytona, Plymouth Superbirds and sunroof cars to various suppliers in years past.
[E bodies has sunroofs, and the '71-'74 B-body offered sunroofs as well]. The '75-'83 b-body also had sunroof option, but not sure it that was still subbed-out work at that point or not.

If they are dropping off cars, how do they get back? Take the bus? 😃
they probably pick up others that need the conversion work done on the next batch.
