I'm happy to say I've seen another great product of Dan Arcand "The Fastman" be put on my car.

Dan is a well known and talented machinist. He works almost exclusively with Mopar vehicles and has crafted modified throttle bodies for many years. I had on on my '95 Dodge Ram 360, and it woke up the engine. Crispier, and more throttle response.

So years later I finally get another Mopar, and wanted to do the modded throttle body on my Challenger. Dan was there again to hook me up. This mod only costs $100 (for the standard TB, mind you), which includes the rework. Also you'd have to send in your TB to get that $100 price.

I opted to have Dan buy one like mine since I can't get my car tied up. Anyways long story short, I get my new TB and it looks way less restrictive than the factory TB.

WOW! More instantaneous power, not just off idle but any speed. The car seems woken up now, and is much more eager to pull. Notice the words I use I do not say it adds lots of HP. In fact, although it may free up a small amount, it is the responsiveness and sound I was looking for. As for the sound, I noticed an increased sucking noise from the intake, it is subtle though.

I would recommend you guys check out his website with what he has to offer. I got the standard TB, which is good for stock or mildly modded cars. He does have a performance 84mm option, for people with heavier mods.

Again, great improvement for the money, great person to work with, and am now a happy repeat buyer!

Email and talk to Dan about his TBs vs the aftermarket ones, he will answer all of those questions. This man knows what he's doing.

Thought I'd share on the new mod!

Looks like a nice (and effective) custom mod. Got me thinking real hard about this one. Been considering a TB upgrade for a while, but since I've just got some of the more common performance mods, didn't seem worth the price - however, looking at what Fastman does to the stock TBs - (and for the price - wow) - sounds like just what I'm looking for. Thanks for posting this up!

You will be very happy with the mod! When I buy things for myself I am very critical of how they perform for how much they are worth. I can tell you that the Fastman mod is a great mod for the money, and will love the increased throttle response. I also feel good doing business with an honest man who does a good trade. Ask Dan if you have any questions, he usually returns emails within a couple hours.

How much did he open up the TB? Did he polish it after machining?
