Hellcat was the best all-around carrier based fighter of WWII and wildly successful in aerial combat. But I would probably go for the P-51D (yes, its a Mustang!) instead of the Hellcat.

I agree, the P-51D was an awesome aircraft. The last Sun and Fun Air Show I went to in Lakeland Florida had some there. They were in mint condition. They looked better now than the day they were built!

That D model Mustang sounded just frightening. You can hear the supercharger working hard. Yeah baby, get Some!!!
