I am confused. Those look like 17" wheels (which I like) which would fit on the back, but they won't fit on the front of the R/T will they?

Besides the original Chrome Clads this is my third set of rims I have bought for my car and I finally think I'll have the look I'm after. The rear rim is a 17x9 with 6.3 Backspacing. The tires are all going to be Hankook, rear 275-55-17 Ventus AS and the fronts are going to be 215-65-17 Optima H724 mounted on a 17x6 rim with 4.3 Backspacing. More sidewall less rim with wider tire in the rear and narrower in the front. I could have gone to a narrower wheel in front but then I would have to give up 2" on the diameter and my goal is to fill the wheelwells as much as possible.

Looks good! What brand and size tire do you have mounted? They look tough!

Yes, they are 17" rims and Weld Wheels makes them to fit the Challenger. Go to their website for the fitment guide http://weldracing.com/aitdownloadablefiles/download/aitfile/aitfile_id/196/. I'm getting a 17x6 with 4.3 Backspacing Medium Pad Height for the front. Iron6 has them on his car also but he has a 17x7 in front with the High Pad Height. He has pics posted with his setup. Weld also is making the same wheel in 18".

We have 17" x 10" Weld Wheels for the back of our SRT with M&H 325x40R17 Drag Radials. Love the look of the Weld wheels.

Looks great, being from the old school myself I'll do something similar when and if I get a Challenger, I've been looking around and there aren't many tire brands that carry these type of tires anymore!!! I'd rather buy USA made tires but Hankook is one of the few choices for these tires looks like.

Yes, I did have the R/T Classic rims on my car. Here are pics of the 4 different rims I had on the car in the order they were on.
1 - 20" Original Chrome Clads
2 - 20" SRT8 Reproduction Wheels in Anthracite Finish
3 - 20" Classic Wheels
4 - 17" Weld RT-S Wheels

Car
