Hello all,
This is my 1st post so I hope I am doing this right. did a search first but couldn't find a match.

2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8. After a five hour road trip I had a Check Engine light appear. Drove to the local Auto Parts store and used their Innova 5210 OBD scanner and retrieved a P0138 error. after clearing the DTC I was unable to start the car. Ignition one and two would come on but only a faint noise on start. Had the car towed to a Firestone location around the corner and their diagnosis was a bad TIPM indicating a very costly repair estimate but unable to perform the repairs due to part back order and programming. Just wanted to know if anyone has any thoughts or recommendations on this issue as my next step would be to take the car to a Dodge dealer for a 2nd opinion and diagnosis. any comments or advice would be appreciated in regards to this issue and forum posting rules and etiquette.

Welcome to Challengertalk ;) P0138 is an O2 sensor error, I can't see where there would be any connection to the TIPM? Could they have said the PCM? That is at least a possibility. On a 14 year old car just a bad sensor or wiring connection would be possible. I'd certainly want a better diagnosis
