Hello all,

Tire question...

All the rims are the original 20x9 and I assume the same offset etc (are they?)... but running 245-45R-20s in front an 255 45R 20s in rear? The one I have on it are the original Goodyear eagles, but they were mfgd in 07 by the code. Too old to trust. I'd like to run the same all the way around so they can be rotated properly... what is the widest R40 that will clear the front turning lock to lock without rubbing (at least hard enough to matter)?

Thank in advance for your input... Dave

SRT said 245 max width in the front due to possible interference, now they are talking race track cornering so maybe a little too conservative. Many have run 255 all around and no issues, not sure about 275s.

You've got the optional setup, standard was the RSA all seasons in 245 all around, optional was the F1 summer tires in 245/255 and that option stuck around through 2014.

Some owners have installed 275/40-20 tires on all four corners with the OEM wheels. To be safe, however, you might want to install 255/45-20 tires all around.

I will be buying new tires for my 2009 SRT and plan to install 245/45-20 tires on the front and 275/40-20 tires on the rear for that staggered, old-school look.

Fwiw, I have never read about someone having a problem putting 275/40s on the front.
