I'm putting in a Spec clutch in an 09 SRT-8 this weekend and thought I pass this along.

I found very little info on the clutch alingment tool. I even asked Arrington about it, since that's where the Clutch kit came from. No luck. Arrington and several others claim it doesn't exist.

Well it does exist and is fairly reasonably priced.

It's Miller tools #10018 $85 straight from Miller SPX Miller Special Tools | Detail: 10018 - CLUTCH ALIGNMENT TOOL

Miller is out of stock for a couple weeks but fortunatley for me, a good freind at the local Dodge dealer let me borrow theirs. So I have confirmed that its the right part for the job.
While I was at the dealer today, I flipped through the service manual and also confirmed that this tool is the ONLY special tool needed for a clutch replacement. It appears that Challenger clutch replacement is not much different than rwd.

You can also get a pilot tool from Summit Racing. A standard pilot tool will not work. The pilot tool needs to have an extra long handle.
So you're saying that you could get one from Summit but it wouldn't work?

Thats correct. The correct Miller tool is a 5lb, 12" long chunk of steel.
Yeah, A lot of guys look for that tool.We had it at the dealer for a few years. It was used on the Viper dual clutch first.Makes life easy! They pop up on ebay every once in awhile.
