Heya folks, brand new to the track day addiction, and the wife and I are moving to Raleigh NC very soon. Are there any speed junkies out there in Tarheel Country that could point a new addict to some decent spots?

I'm interested in both 1/4 drag tracks and moderate road courses and DEFINITELY willing to join up with a good Autocross club to learn the ins and outs.

When I am not running my other car, a few of us go to a drag strip over here near Winston Salem. Little drive for you. When summer starts coming to an end and Rockingham starts normal Sat street drags, we will be heading down there probably twice a month.

Jacksonville (about 1.45 hours) is 1/4, Piedmont (about 1 hour) is 1/8, Rockingham (about 1.3 hour) is 1/4 and Fayetteville (about 1.5 hour) is 1/4 mile.

Thanks for the heads up man I'm completely new at this but loving the Challenger group. When I get back to NC for good from Afghanistan I'll let ya know.

Don't forget about 2.5 hrs out in Petersburg VA is Virginia Motorsports Park (VMP) which is a 1/4 track. Richmond dragway another 1/4 track is about 2.45 hrs away in Southern Richmond. About the same layout as Jacksonville. Also about an 1.5 hour past Fayetteville is Darlington SC track 1/4 mile track which is pretty good.

NC tracks ... I like Jacksonville's ... have yet to try Fayetteville. Rockingham is pretty good track as well.

Fayetteville has a 1/4 track, not sure about a road course though
