My engine has been acting weird the past 24 hours. First, I was realizing that my car was "jumping" kind of like a shaking motion when in reverse. It got less significant since yesterday around lunch time, but now not only does it in reverse, but in park and drive as well. Leaving work today it was really bad and my transmission light came on. Thank god its only 3 weeks old so Ill be covered regardless of the problem, but this is extremely frustrating and does not make me a happy owner. I am going to have to miss work to take it in. Love the car, but after me owning it for 3 weeks, this is embarrassing.

I couldn't agree more. My car was about that old when the window started acting up and killing my battery. Sure, it's under warranty, but it's a huge damper on the new car fun.

**** happens, as they say. I bought a brand new F150 in 2000. When I got it home with 13 miles on it, it leaked tranny fluid all over my driveway. It ended up needing a new engine due to a bad casting at the bell housing. I had my truck one day before having to leave it at the dealer for two weeks. It bums you out but everything will end up just fine.

Maybe it is the check engine light. Anyways taking it to the dodge dealership in the morning. Still under warranty, so could there be any reason that this isnt fixed on the house? I just always think like a pessimist, so I always try to be prepared for the worst possible scenario. Dont see any way that this could be my fault, or them saying that there is nothing they can do, but also never been in this situation.

Ok. There is no way that they could tell by looking at the engine or hooking it up to something that maybe showed signs of it being drove hard at times with it being so brand new, or in my situation strain on the new engine possibly because of me having to break hard to avoid a collision?

Update: Well I just dropped off the challenger at a dealership near me (not the same one I bought it from). Said they would hook it up and do the diagnostics on it. Hope its nothing serious and I can get my car back today. 3 weeks old and already problems, unbelievable

Just got the call back from the dealership. Said that piston #4 misfired causing either the spark plug in that piston or the coil in that piston to be damaged. Car is a '11 so they dont have the parts on hand. Will be getting the new spark plug tomorrow morning and see if that fixes it. If not they have to make another phone call to get the new coil and figure out what to do form there. Hoping to god that its just the spark plug so I can get my chally back and be done with this mess
