Hey all...
I bought a spotless 2009 SE with 10,000 miles on it. I noticed after driving it for a week or so, that it would not always shift the same way....sometimes it would hang in 3rd before going to 4th when getting on an on ramp...sometimes go through a little downshift routine when I came to a stop..it seemed like it might have a problem.
I checked for technical service bulletins on the car and there was one about the transmission. It described all my problems and it is due to the computer not providing adequate pressure signals.
I took the car back and described my findings to the service manager. They found the TSB for the car and "re flashed" the trans control module.
The shifting is now flawless, AND I picked up 2 MPG.
Just thought I'd pass it along...free MPG is good, right?
