I have a 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T with UConnect/Navigation that won't find or even show up on an iPhone 8 but it worked before with iPhone 6. After an hour on the phone, I was basically told there is not fix and car can't be updated or formatted for new iPhone. Anyone else have that issue? Any fixes out there?

Honestly I am surprised that your IPhone 6 worked in your 2009. The technology is so fast pace these days. You may now have to upgrade your car to your new upgraded phone! I know not very useful....I still sometimes have issues with my IPhone 8 in my 2017 Challenger. Interestingly it works better in my 2015 Challenger, different operating systems though...

I have a 2012 and my 8 worked. Have you tried updating the radio software. I believe we have the same radios. Does anything happen at all such as the phone showing unconnect but an endless spinning ball next to it. With my iphone 8 the radio was asking for the numeric code to be entered but the phone was not showing one. I just entered random numbers and presto, connection.

The car doesn't show up on the phone's bluetooth screen nor does the phone show up on the car. Went to the dealership to see about an update and they said there wasn't one. I asked what my options were and service "tech" said "Stop using your phone." Big help they were. Seems weird that there isn't a simple software update for the car!!?!?

Hi sherwood,

Would you mind sending us your VIN within a direct message? We'd like to do some additional troubleshooting.

When I paired my Samsung S7 Active to my 2012 I had pretty much the same issue, phone did not see the car and car did not see the phone. It ended up being my smart watch interfering. I had to disconnect all other bluetooth devices and then go through the process. Once Uconnect was set up I could reconnect my watch to the phone and no issues with either.
