OK, I've searched, and the consensus seems to be 47 ohms, 5 watts.

Anyone actually tested?

I would like the largest resistor that would do the job - less heat!

Are you referring to the device needed on each speaker channel to prevent the head-unit from turning off that channel when running it into an aftermarket amp?

If that’s it, then you’ll want the watts to be as high as possible, which is usually around 15w or so (@3-4 ohms).

Yes I am, but the ohm value - I can work out the watts.

I'm hoping someone tried a variable - or a batch of - resistors and KNOWS the minimum value.

I’ve used 2.9, 3.9, and 4.0 ohm resistors, all 15w, with success.
