I'd like to paint a few spots that are exposed after my hood pins install. Anyone purchase any paint and shot it on the underside of their hood that matches the DWB? I happened to have a pretty close match around, but it's got too much metallic. The paint under the hood is matte (no clear coat on it either) and not very metallic.

If I remember correct the paint under the hood is just the base coat with no clear so it gives the matte finish and the paints that you can but that match have more flake and come out glossy you may have to wet sand to dull it out. Ask plum (Dan) he's good with a spray gun...:)

Thanks, Jeff. I'll reach out to Dan.

Yeah, that can of paint I've got at the house is a metallic and has too much fleck in it. I don't need it to be perfect but I'd like it to be in the ballpark ;-)

Auto Quest stores can match OEM colors into aerosol cans. They probably can leave the gloss out if that's what you want. I've really been pleased with their paint for cars and MC's over the years.
