Just noticed something this evening. Friend of mine was looking in the engine bay as I revved the engine. He noticed that my radiator hose would collapse each time I gunned the engine a bit. Cause for alarm?

Isn't there a spring inside the hose? I thought there was. I will have to check mine and see if the hose is rigid. If yours isn't perhaps they forgot the spring. And if so, I'd say yes it needs to be fixed.

The top hose has no spring the spring is always in the bottom hose as it returns the coolant back to the engine

If the hose is collapsing when you rev the engine take it to the dealership and get it changed. I had an old charger wi this problem, and it can cause the car to overheat.

My r/t has a sp[ring in upper hose.could be rad cap is not venting.remove cap & inspect vent valve on bottom of cap.should move freely.
