We’re certain you’ve heard of the Takata Airbag Safety Recall and believe some of you are hesitant to get it completed. It is urgent that you take the necessary steps to repair your affected vehicle to ensure the safety of you and your passengers. In a minor crash, the front airbag(s) on your vehicle may explode due to excessive internal pressure. If this happens, a rupture could result in shrapnel and sharp metal fragments striking vehicle passengers, which may lead to serious injury or death. FCA will repair the vehicle FREE of charge (parts and labor). If you haven’t completed this airbag recall, please share with us why. We care about your safety, and want to understand how we can help to get this addressed. To check if your vehicle is a part of this recall or if you need assistance scheduling an appointment, visit https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls/search.html or call us at 1-833-585-0146. We look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Hmm I do not remember if my wife got hers done on her '06 Charger and I do not even know if my '06 Liberty had it done. I would assume so since I bought it used in 2015 from a dealer. Don't they have to do them on all the cars on their lots that require them?

I'm not surprised that many people haven't done it. Some have probably forgotten about it. I bought my '14 Mustang in 2013 it was less than a year old when I got the letter telling me there was a problem. My turn to have it fixed was just about 3 years later this past summer. I don't own the car now......traded it for my Challenger but the length of time I waited for Ford to tell me it was now my turn to bring it in lends a picture of just how big the problem is for Takata and the industry in general.

We went to the dealer the first day the recall was announced, and once a week for about a month, finally the dealer said they would call us when the parts came in..... I do not recall if they did or not.... I have yet to begin pestering them about the Cruise Control issue.....

This is gonna sound crazy, but I think a lot of people just dont think the problem will happen to them. In addition, no matter whether its a car or any product, there are so many horror stories of service gone wrong.

In this case, we've read of various of misc issues (steering while alignment, squeaky dash, etc afterwards). There's always the exposure to damage/dings/etc when dropping off a vehicle for service.

All of what I said makes no sense when compared to the risk of injury/death ....................... yet I have not scheduled the recall work on my 2010, but I know I should ..............

I recently imported my Challenger and found out it had never had the air bag recall done, guess here in the U.K there is little hope I can ever get it done.

I have a 2013 challenger(I have had it since new) and it doesn't show up on the recall list. The only recall I show is the alternator(shows completed) which I had done earlier this year.

Dodge Challenger 2008-2013 Zone A

Some Takata recalls are being broken down into what NHTSA calls “zones”. A zone is a group of states and territories where a vehicle was originally sold or registered at some point in time. A few notes about zones:

Zone A: Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan) and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Yep original owner. I live in NC though so that appears to be why. Although damn if it don't get just as hot and humid here as in some more southern states.

Well, I finally took step 1 - called the dealer to have the parts ordered for my 2010 RT.
