I received a letter for the recall regarding my 2014 SXT and Crown Dodge in Ventura, CA gave me an appointment exactly one month from now. I showed them the letter saying I wasn't exactly comfortable driving this vehicle loaded with metal shrapnel and they refused to cover a rental or provide a loaner vehicle in the meantime. Do I have any options? I asked them if they expected me to drive the vehicle this way until then and they said that is what Chrysler expects of their customers.....Unbelievable.
I don't mean to state the obvious, but have you tried to call a different dealer, one that maybe wants to give you better service?

I haven't yet -- Crown Chrysler Jeep Dodge is the only dealership we have here in Ventura County. I would prefer to keep it local than have to drive 30 minutes or more out. DodgeCares has escalated a case for me thankfully, so we'll see what solution they can come up with.

Sounds like there is a possibility I may get another for the driver side?

kind of odd that they would do one at a time. I would make a joke but the fact that there has been 15 deaths I will refrain. There must be something with how the inventory is preformed to track them all down.

If you don't min me asking how far apart was it in between the 2 recalls?
Not sure exactly when the drivers side was done as it was replaced under the previous owner but I think it was like 2 years or so from what I gathered by talking to them when I bought it.

Where is the propellant container located for passenger bag as the letter that came yesterday only said that one?
I’m extremely hesitant as I do not trust any dealership techs, my car is as important to them as is a rust bucket trade in. All they want to do is not be at work. Got the same letter for my Wrangler too.

Thanks for your reply, I will get it done but it’s sad that most employees of whatever dealership have little to zero care about the people they serve. I’ve made a 42 year career exclusively working on high end homes, going above and beyond and charging accordingly. Almost none of the contractors that I came up with through the years are still in business. As it’s said you reap what you sow.

It's under the dash, but they remove the glove box tray and access it through the hole that leaves behind, so it's not real intrusive.
Good to know! I was afraid they'd have to pull the whole dashboard out.

I got the recall notice yesterday, scheduled for next Friday.

Anyone know if pulling the fuse for the Occupant Restraint Controller (rear panel, fuse 27) will disable the airbags in the meantime?

No rattle here. Took it in yesterday, and the tech beat the flat-rate so I was heading home in less than an hour. Guess he's done it before.
