Hello Community,
  1. They used harsh chemicals to clean the vinyl stripe on my challenger and it is now dull and looks like it has watermarks. Any idea what to clean it with? If I have them removed, will I need to wax or buff it to match the paint where the stripe was

I would be more than a little annoyed, if I were you. If it is dull, the damage has been done. Turtle wax Ice might help it look better.

There was a huge thread like this on another forum, and I'm almost positive the dude sold his car after getting them "OK" again. I would not add to the problem by guessing, and definitely don't wax them.

I'd ask a good detailer in your area for just an opinion. And if they say they can fix it, a price and expected longevity

If you can't get them restored, I'd remove them. I know the striping is better quality than the old days, but for long term, I believe that the paint will last longer.
