Question for those who have used VOTS before. Does the status update real time or does it only update like once a day?

Mine too. Probably be there for a while. I think that's the longest part of the wait.

Awesome! Still status D1 with no estimated delivery date.

When I called they said since I ordered in July, I would be part of the August allocation. Do they only ship cars once a month to the dealer or will there be various delivery dates for the August allocations?

Works like a charm
Appears to be that I'm in D1-hell as well with everybody else
Let the relentless refreshing and wild speculation on build dates and delivery begin !!!

How accurate is Chrysler with status usually? Never ordered a car from them, so don't have any experience.
When my wife ordered a Mini (they use BMW's order tracking system, since they are one and the same company), she had a similar initial status which did not change until the dealership called up and said "car is here"

The VOTS system is only a guide. My car was still showing Production Scheduled and it was already built. My car was then shipped to Ground Effects in Windsor for thr Shaker package and vots was showing my car was in paint. Its not very accurate... and from first hand experience, it was extremely frustrating waiting on it to change.

I'm hoping others will post their past experience with VOTS accuracy, update frequency, etc. on prior orders.

I'll let you know on this thread how my "build" is progressing. I'll compare the VOTS with the information I get from my sales guy. So far, I'm still at D1.

I'm excited, but patient. It took longer in 2008 for my '09; ordered mid-August & delivered November 4th.

After all, we're ordering 2015 cars and we still have more than four months of 2014 left.

Here is what my sequence was for my '14:

September 6: Filled out the build paperwork at my dealer.

September 12: Received an email from Dodge stating that my new vehicle order was being processed.

September 19: Received an email from Dodge stating that my vehicle was scheduled for production. The email said that my vehicle might reside in the "scheduled for production" stage for up to 2 weeks.

October 8: Received an email from Dodge stating that my vehicle was beginning to be built. The email said it could take about 10 days for the car to progress through the various build stages.

October 9: My dealer sent me an email stating to expect delivery sometime between October 17th and October 23rd.

October 14: Received an email from Dodge stating that my vehicle was sin shipment.

October 17: Vehicle arrived at the dealership.

My recollection of the VOTS is that it was typically behind the actual production stage of the vehicle. For example, my recollection is that the car was in the "production" stage on VOTS, and then one day skipped ahead to Final Inspection (without ever showing frame, paint, or trim stages). Something like that. So my experience is that VOTS is a general guide, but not particularly accurate.

I feel your anxiety. I was so anxious for the car to arrive it seemed like a very long process, but as shown above it really only took about 6 weeks from order to when I picked the car up. Hang in there! It's worth the wait.
