How long do you let the car warm up before taking it to redline? I typically wait for the analog temperature gauge to go to 12 o'clock and for the oil temperature on the evic to go to at least 185.

That's wise...
I usually wait for full operating temp. before hammering down.

Sometimes I'm tempted to get on it while the oil temp is around 160-165 and the coolant temp is at 180-85.....seems like the car is so much more responsive. Gonna start searching for the thermostat posts.

many different idealogies with this. i wait at least 1 minute anymore.....to hell with the full operating temp stuff. 1 minute gives ample time for oil to get through the journeys, warm up a tit, and everything else to lube up.
