Dumb question, but has anyone welded on the stock chrome tips? I have a 2010 that came with the single tip, so i bought an R/T exhaust and am currently using custom tips and want to switch. To my understanding the stock chrome tips are bolt on?

The stock pipe and tips are flared to fit like a ball and socket joint, and they are secured with a band clamp that fits that joint, as well as a single tack weld. The only issue I see with welding them on is getting them aligned perfectly first and then holding them in place until you get the weld started.

Thanks. Luckily I have a professional welder to do the job for free
