It allows you to enable and disable electronic features that are stored in your cars Computer that may or may not be enabled due to the model designation of your car. This can be done through the steering wheel controls.
and scroll to the bottom. There is also software called alfaobd that can unlock features like the tazer but requires an OBD interface like obdlink. I own both and the tazer can do things that alfaobd can't, such as line lock, cooldown, light show...all the live features. However tazer has limitations as well...like it cannot unlock launch control but I was able to figure out how to do it with alfaobd.

I still have my tazer but I no longer marry it to my car as I have made all the changes I wanted with alfa. But I still have the tazer plugged in for the live features.
IMO everyone with an FCA vehicle should own alfa as it is a very powerful diagnostic software.
Only you know what you are trying to achieve. Z Automotive knows what the Tazer will do for each year and model. Don't ask us Dr's., Follow ChallyTatum's advice so you can accurately determine if Tazer is right for you.
It might if you have never used or registered the trial uconnect features. I have only read a handful of people who have successful managed to unlock it on the screen. Many other like myself only manage to unlock it briefly, only to have it disappear as soon as a 3G/4G signal gets thru.
