On my 2016 SXT Plus driver’s side door, what is this small white plug for where does it plug in ? It looks like it has a small clip on plug end that would hold it on to something.

Very likely.

That is 100% the light behind the door handle. It is not very obvious where it goes. Pretty much throws everyone for a loop.
