Hey guys-

I have a set of Alcoas off of my 2009 Challenger SRT8. Two of the rims have some curb rash and the other two are good. I was told the curb rash could be fixed by one of the wheel repair guys.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

Fix yourself for extra $$

I fix my own. Do a YouTube search for aluminum wheel repair. I paid $175.00 for my first repair, that was enough. Some 150, and 300 grit sandpaper and some Dupli Color silver and clear spray paint and you are good to go.

I actually bought this Permatex kit off of EBay for 7 bucks.

Not if you have to paint silver.

Good to know. Does the silver match?
No, the silver in the kit does not match. If it's just on the outer ring, you simply sand out the rough stuff and throw clear on it. I think a can of Dupli is about 5 bucks. I actually repainted one of my spokes and you cannot tell. I went to the store and grabbed a couple cans and took out to match the silver. The aluminum (explains why is shreds so quickly) sands quite easily.
