Several months ago, having grown tired of having to have my front rotors turned, I replaced the OEM rotors/pads with Power Stop rotors and ceramic pads (
).

Now, 7K miles later I get a mild rattles/mild clunks when I hit bumps. It disappears when brakes are applied. Upon inspection I find I can grab/pull on the calipers and get a bit a play, which is obviously the source of the noise. In fact I can push inward on the pad while push/pulling on the caliper, emulating the action of the brakes being applied, and the play disappears. Notwithstanding the rattles/mild clunks, the brakes feel fine.

Anyone have this problem and cure? Thanks.

I would think that the caliper mounting bolts have loosened up a bit. If the caliper is working properly, which it should be since you say the brakes are working fine. I would take out each caliper bolt and put a little blue loctite on them and re-torque the bolts. You shouldn't have any more problems after that.
