I have a 2010 R/T 6 speed with 3.92 rear, 392 cam, headers fbo. Rn I'm running the original R/T classic wheels that are a measly 8" wide with 255 wide Nitto 555g2. Let me just say it's an understatement when I say 1st and 2 gear are useless. I mean for a 400ish whp car im spinning 1st 2nd and even a little in 3rd. So I'm just looking for some recommendations for a tire setup I can run that's good for DD but wouldn't be HORRIBLE for the strip when I go. The wheels I were looking at were Chrome replica demons or Chrome race starts but leaning towards demons just for looks and cost. Any idea how wide I need to go for decent traction? I'm gonna be spraying a 75 shot this summer too.

I have a 2015 RT with a SC, headers and a 6.2 cam which I run the demon replicas and Nitto 555 (315 on 10.5" wheel) in the rear. Still have a hard time getting traction unless I heat the rears up using tazer line-lock. I love the Factory Reproduction FR73 demon wheels and the offsets are correct so no wheel spacers needed (I paid <$1000 for all 4 shipped). I have 275 up front.

If you want wider factory wheels up front on that 2010 R/T you'll need SRT8 spindles/knuckles or at least spacers. It was a big deal back then with R/T guys, myself included, trying to run the 20"x9" SRT8 Alcoas.
