When is the earliest you would clay your car? I have always done my cars right away but they were either off a lot or took months for order to arrive. My latest Challenger (#5) was done and to me in 30 days. Is that too soon to clay?

New paint typically sets in a months time.
I wouldn’t hesitate to clay it and seal it upon receiving it.

They bake the cars paint at the factory. You could likely decontaminate a new car with iron remover and find significant rail and brake dust. Claying, even with lots of lubricant and fine clay can introduce marring, so always be careful. Clay will remove any embedded particles that the decontamination misses.
